Kurosawa is a Japanese sake brand produced by Kurosawa Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. in Sakuho Town, Minamisaku District, Nagano Prefecture.

Kurosawa Sake Brewery is particular about its traditional "Kimoto-zukuri" method, which is a labor-intensive method that takes twice as long as usual to cultivate yeast.

This traditional method produces a robust sake with a deep, rich flavor that has earned it high praise overseas.

What is Kurosawa Junmai Gnjyo "Vintage" ?

This is a Junmai Ginjo sake that has been aged at room temperature in the brewery using the "Kimoto" method, for over two summers.

This sake has been carefully aged at room temperature in the brewery since the second summer, and has a well-balanced, deep flavor and a sharp, crisp finish. It is a special Ginjoshu with a deep aftertaste.

Taste characteristics of Kurosawa Junmai Gnjyo "Vintage"(sweetness, sourness, depth of flavor, aroma, suitable temperature)

It has a calm, sweet, mature aroma reminiscent of pears and sweet osmanthus flowers. It has a slightly powerful flavor with a mellow sweetness, followed by a sticky acidity and umami flavor.

It is recommended to drink it at room temperature or slightly warmed as "Nurukan".

Located at the top of the Chikuma River in the foothills of the Northern Yatsugatake Mountains, the brewery takes advantage of the nature and water nurtured by one of the most prominent plateaus in the country, 800m above sea level, to produce flavorful sake.

The water used in brewing is underground water from the Chikuma River, and the raw rice is "Miyama Nishiki" from Nagano Prefecture and "Hitogokochi" from Minamisaku, and the brewery is committed to using local produce and even polishes the rice in-house.
